Born in Magherafelt, Northern Ireland, J. W. Anderson did a degree in menswear at the London College of Fashion. Graduating in 2001, he made his debut at London Fashion Week in September 2007. Combining a love of sinister phenomena with mystical characters in history and literature, Anderson's dramatic aesthetic has made him one of the most intriguing designers in current British fashion.
