The Boundary in Shoreditch

Stuck in London for the summer? Boundary Rooftop is the best place for a "summer in the city" night.
Including a large bar with seating arranged around an open fireplace, a 48-seat grill restaurant and a garden designed by Nicola Lesbirel, the rooftop is accessible by a direct lift and is served by its own kitchen. There are 360-degree views from Canary Wharf to the City's Gherkin and Barbican to the rooftops and spires of East London. The space is replete with a large sail-like canopy, heating, festoon lighting and Welsh blankets. Just heaven!

For details and further information, check out its website: www.theboundary.co.uk

Mary's Living and Giving Shop for Save the Children

On Saturday 22 May, the second Mary's Living and Giving charity shop (the first one launched in Edinburgh last December) opened in Notting Hill, London.

Full of amazing goodies, donations are made by the A-list of the fashion world to raise money for Save the Children. Mary Portas (founder of the charity) explains to Grazia magazine that "the whole idea of a Living and Giving shop is that the community gets involved, so local businesses Mulberry, Future Classics, Agent Provocateur and Issa have already donated pieces."

To launch the shop, Grazia held an exclusive readers' event where the lucky first got dibs on some extra special donations, like the Mulberry Alexa bag, Aquascutum trench and Christian Louboutin sneakers. Moreover there were items from Temperley, Liberty, Diesel, Nicholas Kirkwood, Charlotte Olympia.....and the list goes on!

Mary's Living and Giving shop for Save the Children is at 177 Westbourne Grove, London W11 2SB

Maison Martin Margiela '20’ The Exhibition

Somerset House is proud to host Maison Martin Margiela ‘20’ The Exhibition, a major exhibition celebrating 20 years of one of contemporary fashion’s most influential and enigmatic designers. This ambitious, multi-layered exhibition captures Margiela’s unique aesthetic and vision, incorporating garments, installations, photography and film. This exhibition was initiated by the Fashion Museum Province of Antwerp and Maison Martin Margiela.

Young as its history is, no other fashion house has had quite the same impact on our understanding of fashion and its relationship to history, craft, commerce and innovation. 20 years on, Maison Martin Margiela’s radical questioning and rethinking of what fashion is, how we clothe the body and ideals of human beauty, are still as groundbreaking as ever.

3rd June - 5th September at Embankment Galleries, South Wing

Dinner at the River Cafe

River Cafe is an "Italian masterpiece" situated beside the Thames in Hammersmith. The food here is absolutely divine! Serving the finest ingredients in a bright and lively space, with perfect service to match, the result is pure magic. It gets even better if you can seat outside on a beautiful day. Having dinner at River Cafe's garden a few nights ago, when the weather was still great, I literally felt like I was on holiday in Italy. No wonder that Keith McNally, New York's most celebrated restaurateur, recently described River Cafe in Vogue as "the best restaurant in the world"!

So hurry up and make a reservation! Book early in order to avoid disappointment- this place is a legend.
